Materials: 3.5mm hook; oddments of either 4 ply or D.K. yarn
Directions:
Ch4, join to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 [counts as a treble in this and all following rounds], 2 tr in ring; [ch2, 3tr in ring] 3 times; ch 2; join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Round 2: slip stitch to first space; ch 3, in same sp work[2 tr, ch2, 3 tr]: corner made;* skip next 3 tr, in next ch-2 sp work [3tr, 2ch, 3 tr]: corner made; rep from *twice more; skip next 3 tr, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Round 3: slip stitch into ch-2 corner space. ch 3 in same space, work [2tr, ch2, 3tr]: corner made;* 3 tr in next space, in next ch-2 corner sp work [3 tr, 2ch, 3tr]: corner made; rep from * twice more; join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Round 4: slip stitch to corner space; ch 3, in same space work [2 tr, 2 ch, 3 tr ]: corner made; * [3 tr into next space] twice; [3tr, 2ch, 3tr] into next ch-2 space: corner made; rep from* twice more; [3tr into next space] twice, join into 3rd of beg ch-3.
Repeat round 4 until blanket is the required size. Each successive round will have one additional 3tr group between corners.
